A Ready and Willing Heart

And I said, "What shall I do, Lord?" And the Lord said to me, "Get up and go on into Damascus, and there you will be told of all that has been appointed for you to do."
Acts 22:10

A Ready and Willing Heart
What a beautiful response we read about here when the Lord had appeared and revealed Himself to Paul. Once Paul became a believer, his first question was, "What shall I do, Lord?" This shows us Paul had a ready and willing heart; immediately after becoming a believer and follower of Christ, he wanted to serve Him. He did not want to waste any time, but in complete surrender he asks the Lord, "What shall I do?"

This is a great question for us to ask the Lord daily: What can I do for You today, Lord? Lead me and guide me that I may live a life that would glorify Your name. Are we truly making ourselves available or just living a casual Christian life?

Now the second part of our verse is also great to note: "all that has been appointed for you to do." When we have a ready and willing heart and a true desire, God Himself will direct us and show us what He wants us to do, but we must also be sensitive to the leading of the Spirit, always listening for His voice, to hear from Him as we ask such a question.

May the Lord help us and stir up our hearts for Him that we may be useful vessels and servants to showcase the love of Christ in this wicked world.

Elie Nassour
Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.Take my moments and my days; let them flow in endless praise.

Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my will and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.Take my heart; it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.

HOW PROPHETIC ARE YOUR NAMES?

The name you bear is very important because it serves as your identity and your future may be connected to it. The name a person bears is sometimes indicative of the experiences he or she will encounter in life. Take for instance Moses: this name means "drawn out of water"

Look For Teaching Moments

What do these stones mean?' Joshua 4:21 NIV

One of the most effective ways to teach is through teaching moments'. Jesus did that. When a fig tree didn't produce fruit, He cursed it and it immediately withered up. That got the disciples' attention (see Matthew 21:18-22). Then He explained that unless...More
