The hitchhiker
Some years ago an incident in an Alpine town showed how God goes after individuals to bring them back to Himself.

A Christian stopped on the way to the station to pick up a hitchhiker. During the five minute journey he found the courage to speaker to the tourist about the vital subject of our life: "Do you believe in God?"

The hitchhiker's reaction showed the driver that he had touched a sensitive point. It was not the kind of offensive allergic reaction when God is mentioned, but rather the very opposite.

The man, who was from the far north, explained to the surprised driver, "Somebody has just given me this New Testament, and I prayed silently, ‘God, if you really exist, then get me to the station in time'. And not only can I catch my train, but I am asked about God!"

There are such moments in a person's life, moments in which we sense that God is speaking to our heart. Then we have to decide: shall we listen to Him and take note of what he says to us? Or would we prefer continuing to decide how we lead our own life?

Today God has again "admonished" readers. Everyone should stop in his tracks and consider his relationship to God. Then the vital decision must be made.
