November 2, 2015 Today's reading: Numbers 13:26 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Acts 2:32; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 Life after death? The Bible replies! Do the dead rise again? - Jesus Christ said: "The hour is coming when all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come forth, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation" (John 5:28-29). When will all believers who have died be raised? "The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first" (1 Thessalonians 4:16). What will the resurrection body of believers be like? "Jesus Christ will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to his glorious body" (Philippians 3:20-21). "We shall bear the image of the heavenly man" (1 Corinthians 15:49). Will there be a Last Judgment for unbelievers? "It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). "I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God. And the dead were judged according to their works" (Revelation 20:12). Will there be a Last Judgment for believers? "He who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life" (John 5:24). |

Open Heavens for Sunday, March 2, 2014 by Pastor E.A Adeboye NEGATIVE LIVING Life comprises of positive and negative elements. As a matter of necessity, it is not good for someone to opt for negative living. The fact that Jesus Christ was destined to die for the sin of the whole world does not exonerate Judas Iscariot from the evil that led him to the idea of betraying the King of Glory....More |
