Follow the instructions for use!

And the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 6:24

Follow the instructions for use!
When buying a garment, it is important to follow the washing instructions. It is worth following the recommendation, for example, not to wash delicate fabrics in boiling water. If you do not follow the washing instructions, you may not notice much damage to your clothes in the short term. But sooner or later unpleasant consequences will occur: the colour changes or the garment shrinks. And at some point it becomes unusable.

Isn't it similar in our lives? With the Bible, God has provided us with a kind of "instruction manual" so that we can do well. He is, after all, our Creator and He knows how life works. But unfortunately, we are surrounded by many voices that go against God's good instructions.

One example is God's will on the subject of sexuality: it is a great gift for marriage. Any other practice is repugnant to God. Yet many consider God's thoughts to be totally outdated. Instead, they don't want to deprive anyone of anything and eagerly support sexual education so that unpleasant consequences may be avoided. But if a person disregards God's instructions, which are only for our good, sooner or later he will have to reap what he sows.

If we take God at His Word and obey it, we will be blessed and will be able to confirm the Bible saying: "You gave them good statutes and commandments" (Nehemiah 9:13).

Today's reading: Numbers 26:1-34 · Matthew 14:22-36

UNCOVERING EVIL

The presence of the supernatural power of God in a church can take that church beyond limits.
It can also uproot the presence of evil in the midst of Gods children. In Acts 5, a couple were uprooted through this. If we are going to sanitise the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Just as we need Him to heal, save...More

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; ...More

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)

In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, but has manifested in its own due season His word.
(Titus 1:2-3)

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)
I can lie. Titus could too, and so could the Cretans. But God can not lie. I can deceive. But...More
