Someone always has time for you!

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7

Someone always has time for you!
People often have no time for the concerns of others. Not so Jesus Christ. Whoever sincerely seeks Him and prays to Him will never be turned away. Even when He lived on earth, He was there for everyone who needed His help:

The Lord Jesus simply left the crowds on the streets of Jericho and visited Zacchaeus, who could no longer cope with his guilt before God.

Surrounded by a crowd, the Saviour immediately noticed that a woman had touched Him in faith. He stopped and said to her, “Your faith has made you well. Go in peace” (Mark 5:34).

Although He sat hungry and thirsty at the well, He struck up a conversation with the woman from Sychar and showed her the way to real fulfilment in life.

Even on the cross, He did not think of His own need, but He took care of the repentant criminal to save him for heaven at the last minute.

Do you think the Saviour has changed since then? Not at all! He is still there for every seeker even though He now lives in heaven.

Does the burden of your guilt weigh you down? Does your lost state before God cause you inner distress? Then take refuge in the Saviour, who died for our sins on the cross. The Bible promises you: “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Today’s reading: Deuteronomy 14:1-21 · Matthew 26:17-30

HOW PROPHETIC ARE YOUR NAMES?

The name you bear is very important because it serves as your identity and your future may be connected to it. The name a person bears is sometimes indicative of the experiences he or she will encounter in life. Take for instance Moses: this name means "drawn out of water"

Look For Teaching Moments

What do these stones mean?' Joshua 4:21 NIV

One of the most effective ways to teach is through teaching moments'. Jesus did that. When a fig tree didn't produce fruit, He cursed it and it immediately withered up. That got the disciples' attention (see Matthew 21:18-22). Then He explained that unless...More
