Forgiveness

In Him (Jesus Christ) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
Ephesians 1:7

Forgiveness
You may ask yourself: How do I know that God has forgiven my sins? This important question must definitely be answered. The Bible says: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven and whose sins are covered” (Romans 4:7). To whom does this statement apply? To all who believe in the Lord Jesus!

Have you realised in faith that He, in His grace, took your place on the cross and died there for you? Have you grasped by faith that the holy God, who knows all your sins, has laid them without exception to the charge of the Lord Jesus? Have you seen in faith how He bore the divine judgment there because of your sins?

Because of faith in the Saviour, Jesus Christ, who suffered and died for you, you possess the forgiveness of your sins. God Himself assures you in the Bible: “Through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins” (Acts 10:43). What a glorious message!

Don’t wait to feel forgiveness! Just take God at His word! In Hebrews 10:12, He confirms to you that Jesus Christ offered a full sacrifice: “But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God”. Therefore, in Hebrews 10:17, God can assure believers, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more”.

Today’s reading: 1 Samuel 25:1-17 · Philippians 3:1-7

HOW PERSUADED?

In 2 Timothy 4:10, Demas - a co-labourer with Paul was floored by his love for the world. He became a victim of comfort. Today, many people are also becoming prayerless and shifting their or trust from God to uncertain riches. They are now tending towards the belief that money can fix everything. If you are in such...More

A LESSON FROM GOLIATH

At the first sight of David, Goliath despised him. He was amazed that the children of Israel could find no other man to fight him than a young boy. As if that was not enough, Goliath did not see any conventional weapon of war on David. So he asked, "Am I a dog?" The first lesson we have to learn from this story as...More

Who am Ithat you have brought me this far?' 2 Samuel 7:18 (NIV 2011 Edition)
A MEMBER of parliament took his little daughter to visit Westminster Abbey. As she stood looking up at its magnificent columns, her father asked, What do you think, sweetheart?' With childlike candour she replied, I was...More

Forgive And Move On (2)

Anyone who starts ploughing and keeps looking back isn't worth a thing to God's Kingdom!' Luke 9:62 CEV

If you're wise, you'll do four things:

(1) Focus on the road ahead. By looking in the rear-view mirror instead of what's up ahead, you'll end up in a ditch. Focus on the fact you've...More
