That which is eternal
In our fast-moving times, it becomes particularly obvious how transient everything on earth is. What was trendy yesterday may already be outdated today. As Christians, we are concerned that moral values such as faithfulness and consistency are increasingly disappearing in society. Even the order that God placed in creation is being pushed aside as old-fashioned.

In this changing environment, what endures forever gives us deep peace and real security:

“The word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8). The Bible is always valid. People can question it or attack it, yet God stands by His Word. We should firmly trust His statements.
“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28). Through faith in the Son of God we possess eternal life. No one can take this gift away from us. For time and eternity, we are safe in the hand of the Lord Jesus.
“But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, … perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you” (1 Peter 5:10). We are heading towards eternal glory in heaven. In His grace, God will see to it that we reach this destination safely.
