God speaks!

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.
Hebrews 1:1

God speaks!
It is God’s grace that He speaks to people again and again, even though they have turned away from Him and aren’t interested in listening to Him.

After Adam and Eve transgressed the Creator’s commandment and ate of the forbidden fruit, they hid. But God did not leave them to their fate, seeking them out and calling out to Adam, “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9).

In His goodness, God delivered the Israelites from Egypt and brought them to the land of Canaan. But they forsook Him and served idols of wood and stone. So, God sent prophets to speak to their hearts and call them to repentance.

Finally, God sent His own Son to earth to speak to the people through Him. Although all were guilty before Him, His Son, Jesus Christ, came not as Judge but as Saviour. He died on the cross so that lost sinners could be made right with their Creator. In doing so, He clearly testified that God only wants the best for people.

In the Bible we can read the message of His wonderful, incomprehensible love: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Do we not want to accept this message and believe in the Saviour, Jesus Christ?

Today’s reading: 2 Samuel 19:25-44 · Titus 3:1-15

However, there was only one person, spiritually speaking, who was a true Nazarite, and that was our Lord Jesus. He shows us that it is not a negative thing to be separated from the world but rather a...More

Adam found an excuse:

Jeremiah 17:9

In a discussion on the above text with some young people, the question was asked: how are we to understand the word "deceitful" here? After some consideration they reached this conclusion: deceitful means that the heart finds an excuse for everything. This seems a very apt...More
