But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Love demostrated
You’ve often questioned, “If it’s true
That God is love, then why...?”
Then let me point you to the cross
Where Jesus came to die.

It’s there that God has proved His love:
His only Son came here
From heaven’s heights to earth below –
He came so very near.

But in His love, so very great,
He did not come to live –
Instead it was to die He came,
“Himself” He came to give.

Will you acknowledge that it was
Because of you He died –
Because your sins were very great –
That He was crucified?

Please, come and look at Jesus’ cross
For there it is you’ll see
That God is love: His Son has died
And giv’n Himself for me.
