Death

If anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.
John 8:51

Death
In the Bible, death is presented in three aspects:

1. Spiritual death. “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)” (Ephesians 2:4–5). People who live without God and in sin are spiritually dead to Him. However, if they repent and believe in Jesus Christ, the Saviour, they are made alive with Him. Through the grace of God, they receive a new life.

2. Physical (bodily) death. This is the end of life on earth. However, those who have died do not cease to exist, for their soul and spirit live on. They are in the realm of the dead until their resurrection. For those who have died in faith in Jesus Christ, the “resurrection to life” will bring a final victory over death. They will never die again.

3. The second death. “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power” (Revelation 20:6). Believers are absolved from eternal damnation in hell. But all who refuse to be saved and die unreconciled with God will be resurrected to be punished. They will go to hell, where they are separated from God and suffer eternal torment (Matthew 25:46). This is the second death.

CONDESCEND!

After seeing their plight, hearing their cries and feeling their pains, God came down to rescue the Israelites from Egypt. Our God is a mobile God. He comes down to deliver His own. As high as God is and even though He has His throne in Heaven, yet He condescends to meet the needs of His children on earth (Isaiah...More

DIVINE CHAMPION 2

One attribute of a champion is strength. The divine champion is one who receives divine strengthening....More

EX-CHAMPION?

Although it is an unpleasant experience to be a defeated contender, becoming an ex-champion is a much more grievous experience. When you are not yet a champion, only a few people pay attention to you. But by the time you become a champion, you will be on the radar of many people, including your enemies. A champion has...More
