The Good Shepherd (1)

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
John 10:11

The Good Shepherd (1)
The Lord Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He laid down His life to save all who believe in Him.

o This is the high price He willingly paid to save those who believe. Silver or gold were not enough to do that. Only the precious blood of the Lamb of God could pay the debt before God.
o This also expresses His great esteem for all who put their trust in Him. Because they mean so much to Him, He took no account of His own life but gave Himself up for them.
o This is at the same time clear evidence of His love for them. He was willing to sacrifice Himself in order to free them from divine judgment and bring them into a blessed relationship with Himself.
If you don’t yet belong to the sheep of the Good Shepherd, then stop for a moment and consider Jesus Christ. Think about the fact that He also suffered and died for you on the cross. Open your heart to Him and accept Him in faith as your personal Saviour. You will never regret it!

If you are already a sheep of the Good Shepherd, you can think of Him, who laid down His own life for you, with deep gratitude every day. Again and again, you may marvel at His divine love which drove Him to accomplish the work of redemption on the cross. If He loved you so much then, you can also be sure that His love has not changed today.

Today’s reading: Isaiah 6:1-13 · Acts 22:22-30

BROKENNESS

In your relationship with God, one place you need to get to is the place of brokenness. To be broken is to have some form of injury that makes the object less than a whole. In spiritual parlance, it is to break or subdue the flesh in order to be more profitable to the kingdom of God. Why do you need to be broken?...More

DELIVERANCE: DIVINE ASSURANCE

When God speaks, that settles it. He reigns forever. When He gives a decree, it is forever. When He says "surely", it means surely. When He says surely, it will be well with me, nobody can change it. He says surely, by His stripes I am healed, and nobody can change this. He says surely, everything I do shall...More
