The best choice

Therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.
Deuteronomy 30:19

The best choice
Every day we make countless decisions. It starts when the alarm clock rings: Do I get up or stay in bed? Then: What will I wear? What will I have for breakfast? Which means of transport will I use today?

There are small and big decisions. Should I enter into this friendship? Should I accept that new job offer? Some decisions have short-term consequences, while others change our whole life.

Before making a decision, we weigh facts and consider the implications. Some people write down the pros and cons, others seek advice, while some simply rely on their gut feeling.

Now for a personal question: Have you ever taken time to make the most important decision? Have you chosen the eternal life which God offers you in His Son, Jesus Christ? John 3:36 says, “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

It is a decision of faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Saviour. Through personal prayer you can connect with Him and speak to Him. When you open your heart to Him and accept Him as your Saviour, God will wipe out your guilt and give you eternal life on the basis of the death of His Son.

This is the best choice you can make today!

Today’s reading: Habakkuk 1:1-17 · Mark 10:1-12

A Statement Of Purpose To Live By

Always give yourselves fully.' 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV

Next time you pass a McDonald's, think about this statement from the one of the founders: Ray Kroc. Press on! Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent....More
