Lord Jesus, You’re the One whose hand...

He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.
Luke 24:50

Lord Jesus, You’re the One whose hand
Of blessing is outstretched.
While I am in this foreign land
It cares and it protects.
You help me in my times of need,
Sustaining with Your Word.
Throughout the present time You lead—
My faithful Lord and God.

There’s nothing that escapes Your sight,
Your vision’s always true.
You keep and shelter in Your might
And stand beside me too.
You’ve promised with me to abide,
My sorrows You remove,
I’m comforted when by Your side.
I’m grateful for Your love!

You are my fortress, my strong tower;
You’re faithful and You’re true.
Your word comes to my heart in power:
‘Fear not! For I’m with you.’
And so despite life’s twists and turns,
My upward journey’s sure.
To soon be with You my heart burns—
With You forever more.
