The marriage of the Lamb

Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.
Revelation 19:7

The marriage of the Lamb
All true Christians of this period of grace belong to the church of God. She is the heavenly bride of the Lord Jesus. He eagerly waits for the moment when He will take her home to heaven. When He returns, He will resurrect the passed-away believers and transform the living believers, and rapture them together into heaven.

There the wedding will take place. Concerning the bride we read: “And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints” (Revelation 19:8). This beautiful wedding garment will consist of the righteous deeds of the believers who belong to the church and have worked for the Lord Jesus here. This means all that His grace has brought forth in their lives to the glory of God. Isn’t this an encouragement to live and work for Him today?

At the marriage of the Lamb, there will also be guests present, for it says: “Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!” (Revelation 19:9). Among these guests are the believers from the Old Testament era who will also be resurrected at the rapture and taken up to heaven. They will participate in the wedding feast but will not share the joy of the bride. What grace that we belong to the church and are able to enjoy this special relationship with the Lord Jesus forever!

Today’s reading: Leviticus 14:1-13 · Psalms 60:6-12

However, there was only one person, spiritually speaking, who was a true Nazarite, and that was our Lord Jesus. He shows us that it is not a negative thing to be separated from the world but rather a...More

Adam found an excuse:

Jeremiah 17:9

In a discussion on the above text with some young people, the question was asked: how are we to understand the word "deceitful" here? After some consideration they reached this conclusion: deceitful means that the heart finds an excuse for everything. This seems a very apt...More
