During Elijah’s time, there were many...

Elijah came to all the people, and said, How long will you falter between two opinions?
1 Kings 18:21

During Elijah’s time, there were many people in the nation of Israel who wavered between believing in the living God and worshipping foreign gods. To them, the prophet posed the serious question: “How long will you falter between two opinions?”

This question remains relevant to this day. Many want to have a bit of Christianity while also enjoying the pleasures of a connection with the world. They occasionally attend a Christian service but want to live as they please. They cannot decide to fully turn to God but would like to be in heaven with Him one day.

To such people, the Lord Jesus says, “He who is not with Me is against Me” (Luke 11:23). There is no neutrality concerning Christ. Either we choose Him and believe that He is our personal Saviour and Lord, or we reject Him and head towards eternal damnation because of our sins.

Choosing Him is the best thing we can do! Firstly, through faith in Him, we receive hope beyond death. We have eternal life and will be in heaven forever. Secondly, we no longer need to manage our lives alone. The Lord Jesus wants to help us fulfil our duties faithfully. He has promised His own, “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

“The way of a guilty man is perverse; but as for the pure, his work is right.” (Proverbs 21:8)

Today’s reading: Joshua 3:1-13 · 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their...More

JESUS IN YOUR BOAT

No doubt, life in a sense is like the sea. A characteristic of the sea is that storms of varying degrees arise, putting the lives of those sailing on it in jeopardy of being drowned. In Jesus' Name, the storms of life will not be able to drown you, your family and your business. While literal storms are natural...More
