Jesus Christ is exalted as Lord

God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Acts 2:36

Jesus Christ is exalted as Lord
For the Lord Jesus, the word from Luke 14:11 applies: “For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

As the eternal Son of God, He became man to live on earth humbly and obediently for God. At the end of His life, He descended even further and humbled Himself unto death on the cross.

God responded to this deep humiliation of the Lord Jesus by raising Him from the dead and taking Him up into heaven. There, He has given Christ the place at His right hand. Through this exaltation, God has made Him Lord and bestowed upon Him the highest authority.

Before leaving the earth, the Lord Jesus said to His disciples, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18). Although this fact is not yet publicly visible, it encourages all who follow and serve the Lord. Because they know that He possesses all power, they desire to testify of Him before others, even if they are mocked or scorned for it.

Soon, God will ensure that Jesus Christ is acknowledged by all as Lord. In Philippians 2:9–11, we read: “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”.
