Saved by grace
People who have turned to God and have personally believed in the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, are saved.

This salvation encompasses a great deal. Saved people possess forgiveness of sins and therefore have no divine punishment to fear. They are freed from the power of Satan and brought to God. They no longer belong to the world that is heading towards divine judgment. They are redeemed by the Lord Jesus and they are in a secure relationship with God. He has reconciled them to Himself and made them His beloved children.

This salvation has been given to believing people by grace. They weren’t able to contribute anything. Everything came from God. 2,000 years ago, He gave His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for them to make their salvation possible. Then He worked through His Word and His Spirit to save them. So they owe their eternal salvation to Him and His unfathomable grace.

The means to this salvation is neither understanding nor feeling, but faith. Repentant people have trusted and obeyed God and His Word. They have said “Yes” to His judgment on their lives. They have believed that Christ died for them on the cross. Therefore, they have accepted Him as their personal Saviour. Thus, they have been saved for time and eternity.
