The Bible

Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

Jeremiah 30:2; Deuteronomy 32:47

The Bible
The Bible is the book mostly frequently bought and read throughout the whole world. It has been translated either in its entirety or in part into over 2,800 languages.
Why is this ancient book still so topical today? Because through it God Himself speaks to us and reveals Himself personally. By means of the Bible, He communicates to us all that is necessary in order to know Him and lead a happy life in fellowship with Him.
Jesus Christ is the central theme of this book; and God is its author.
The Bible contains nothing but the truth; all its reports are verified.
It deals with the question of eternal life, compelling people to make a decision.
It opens a door through which the future of mankind, nations and the earth can be seen.
The Bible gives comfort and strength; it is a help in life's problems and questions. It is the spiritual nourishment that everyone needs.
It gives light that illuminates our life's pathway.
If we read it prayerfully and accept the Word of God by faith, we pass from a wasted life to eternal joy.
To summarise: the Bible was written "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, and that believing, you may have life in His Name" (John 20:31).
Today's reading: Ezekiel ch. 13
