Conversion

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 3:19

The word "conversion" has almost disappeared from use in our language. We perhaps hear it when Christian missions in foreign lands are mentioned, or otherwise in a scornful connection. Yet this very word designates the most important process in a person's life.
Whoever wishes to enter into a relationship with the living God and attain to eternal glory must at one stage in his life have experienced conversion, a radical change. This is not the doctrine of some sect, it is the unmistakable teaching of the Bible itself.
Conversion signifies a genuine rightabout turn in one's life. It is preceded by the realisation that we have become guilty and bear responsibility before our Creator. It means renewing our life fundamentally. Whoever is converted stands still and admits the wrong course his life has taken; he confesses his guilt without glossing anything over. He turns away from every wicked or wrong way to live henceforth according to the will of God.
When someone turns to God, confessing his guilt, God points him to Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice, the ground on which He can forgive sins. Sincere conversion to God and faith in Jesus Christ and His work of atonement go together.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,and rejoice in hope of the glory of God" (Romans 5:1-2).
Today's reading: Ezekiel ch. 20 vv. 27-49

SOCIAL DEVIANTS!

A Christian can be described as a little Christ. While on earth, Christ exhibited integrity in all His utterances and actions. He said His children would do greater works. Are you born-again? Are you a true child of God? With self-discipline and appropriate preparation, you can become effective in exhibiting...More
