We often read in the psalms...

The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
Psalm 33:13

We often read in the psalms that God looked down at the earth from heaven. So long as He looked at mankind "to see if there are any who understand, who seek God", there could be only one conclusion: "They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt: there is none who does good, no, not one" (Psalm 14:2-3).
But God did not resign Himself to this shattering finding. From heaven He "viewed the earth to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to release those appointed to death" (Psalm 102:19-20). To redeem us, His beloved Son came down from heaven. Whoever acknowledges God's authority over his life, turns to Him, sincerely confessing the guilt of his life, passes "from death into life" (John 5:24).
When God sees all the sons of men, those who have found true faith are naturally included. "He considers all their works" (Psalm 33:15). All who have become His children by faith should remember that! Let us lead our lives consciously under His kind guidance! Then we can also know that "the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his mercy" (Psalm 33:18).
For them God will be a help and a shield; He will reward their trust with joy and watch over them in His goodness (cf. vv.20-22).
Today's reading: 1 Samuel 12

Another thing that can divert your attention is opening your mouth prematurely to reveal your secret to sympathetic friends'. Never share a testimony until it is...More
