"I don't believe in a God who delivered such a bad product,"...

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:27

"I don't believe in a God who delivered such a bad product," someone told me. - "But God didn't deliver a bad product! At the end of His work of creation, He could actually say that everything was good (Genesis 1:31). Man rebelled against God. That is what brought all the badness into the world."
The man was not satisfied with this answer and went on: "What kind of a God creates people who can sin? He slipped up there!"
"God created man in His own image and likeness; that means that man became God's representative on earth. It was a position of the greatest responsibility in which he not only could but had to obey, for he was a creature and not God. That meant life and joy for him. However, in virtue of his responsibility, he could also disobey, and that led to death, judgment and trouble. God did not make man like a washing machine: turn the knob to the right temperature, switch on, and the machine goes according to the programme set. God didnt want people to serve Him automatically or under compulsion."
"I still find it strange," the man objected. - "I must admit that I don't fully understand it. For that I should have to be God. But I do know one thing: that God did not leave rebellious, fallen man to his fate. He sent Christ, His Son, to earth, And I know that he died for me on the cross of Calvary. Through faith in Him, I have been saved. And the same salvation is there for you to take hold of."
Today's reading: 1 Kings 20:22-43

Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their...More

TOTAL COMPLIANCE REQUIRED

When we teach about tithes and first fruits, some people think that it is the pastor's way of making money but they are making a great mistake. When you put God first, He will make sure that your blessings are irreversible. But if you decide to give Him second place in your life, you may not be happy to see what...More

FACING OUR PAST

READ:
.
Like Paul,we don't need to parade our failures or to pretend they didn't happen. Instead, we can thank the Lord that through His grace and power, our past is forgiven, our presence is changed, and our future is bright with hope for all he has prepared for us. - David...More
