Certainty as to the afterlife

The Son of man will send out his angels, and those who practise lawlessness, (they) will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
Matthew 13:41 - 43

Certainty as to the afterlife
Belief in the afterlife is nothing modern. The development of civilisation today, which is rapidly distancing itself from the fundamental values of Christianity, is degrading mankind to the level of an animal that cannot think beyond the present time.

If godless people wonder what comes after death, they run the risk of believing false testimonies. In recent decades reports of the experiences of some who have barely escaped death and regained consciousness after a coma have caused quite a stir. It is asserted that they were in the next world and spoke of happy experiences almost without exception.

What value have such "experiences"? None whatever, for only the Son of God who rose from the dead can tell us anything credible and reliable about the hereafter. He alone can lift the veil over it (cf. Luke 16, 22 - 31). He speaks of a twofold prospect of eternity, completely in contradiction to the pacifying accounts that tell of a state of happiness for all.

Let us not be deceived, but remember that we must make our decision for eternity here and now. It is also here and now that we must put things right with God.

In spiritual parlance, it is to break or subdue the flesh in order to be more profitable to the kingdom of God. Why do you need to be broken?...More

DELIVERANCE: DIVINE ASSURANCE

When God speaks, that settles it. He reigns forever. When He gives a decree, it is forever. When He says "surely", it means surely. When He says surely, it will be well with me, nobody can change it. He says surely, by His stripes I am healed, and nobody can change this. He says surely, everything I do shall...More
