The party was held on a magnificent...

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord. And then I will declare to them, I never knew you.
Matthew 7:22.23

The party was held on a magnificent estate. The actress had sent out invitations and many prominent guests were present. Care had been taken with all the arrangements, and body guards were present to watch discreetly over the security of the guests.

During the course of the celebrations a totally unknown man was discovered there. He was asked to produce his invitation, but could not do so. Nevertheless he maintained that he was an acquaintance of the hostess. So they took him to her.

She looked him up and down. Then she shook her head and said, "I do not know the man!" He was asked to leave, and the party went on without him.

When one day a great gathering takes place in heaven, no-one will be able to creep in unlawfully. Some who imagined they had a right to be there will have to stay outside, including many church-goers and communicants, even priests and preachers, leaders of youth groups and choristers. They might well say, "Lord, Lord!" and point out their Christian activities, but Jesus Christ will state: "I do not know you!"

Do you know the Lord Jesus personally? Have you entered the "narrow gate" and are now on the "way which leads to life" (Matthew 7:14)? If so you will be there in heaven, for the Lord knows all who belong to Him. But if you have been a mere hanger-on until now, without truly knowing Him, we beg you sincerely to come to Him. He has said, "The one who comes to me I will by no means cast out" (John 6:37). Only then will you truly belong to Him.

Today's reading: Exodus 29:1-18 · Luke 12:1-12

GOD PROMOTES

When God set out to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt, it was to take them out of captivity and bondage and to lift them up. God has come to take you out of your current location in the miry clay to your promised land - a land flowing with milk and honey. This simply tells us that the God of Abraham, Isaac...More

TRAIN UP YOUR CHILD 1

One major undoing of modern civilized society is an abounding generation of untrained children. This trend did not just start, but has been on for some time now. The result is that many untrained children of few years back have become parents themselves. It is the multiplier effect of their lack of proper home...More

A LIBERAL HEART?

Read:
, God asked the widow to feed the prophet before taking care of herself. At the end of the day, what was not enough became more than enough. To what extent do you practice giving as an individual, family, church or nation?

Those who never give will continue to beg, if you desire to...More

Hebrews 11:24-28

Author Zora Neale Hurston wrote a book titled Moses, Man of the Mountain. Published in 1939, it retells the story of Moses and the Exodus. Hurston altered details of the story for her own purposes, weaving in allusions to African American history, folklore, and song. She reflected...More
