We have the impression that in recent years...

We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:20

We have the impression that in recent years warnings of storms and high winds are on the increase. Many storms that have swept across Europe in past years have exceeded what was formerly normal by far. Meteorological offices have warned against staying outside because of the danger to life.

As our Creator, God controls the elements, "He commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea" (Psalm 107:25). The time will come, however, when an entirely different storm will break out. When precisely, we do not know, but this world's judgment cannot be too far distant. God has not, as yet, given the command; we can still reach safety. When it comes, it will be incomparably worse than any whirlwind or hurricane and will hit everyone who has not taken refuge in Jesus Christ.

Whoever has not been redeemed now by Christ, the Saviour, will then stand before Him as Judge. "The dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. Anyone not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death!" (Revelation 20:12.15.14).

Are you still "outside" and in danger? Then take refuge today in the only safe place: Jesus Christ, the Son of God!

"God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him," (John 3:17. 36).

Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 2:1-9 · 1 Timothy 6:11-21

Another thing that can divert your attention is opening your mouth prematurely to reveal your secret to sympathetic friends'. Never share a testimony until it is...More
