Come just as you are!

Return , says the LORD, I will not cause my anger to fall on you. For I am merciful. When he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
Jeremiah 3:12; Luke 15:20

Come just as you are!
In a village in Brazil a mother was worried. A few days before her 18-year-old daughter had left home saying, "I'm fed up in this hole where nothing ever happens. I want to live my life and blossom out in the town. Months passed without any news. Finally, unable to hold out any longer, the mother took her savings and went to Rio de Janeiro where she worked in a photographer's darkroom and printed hundreds of photos of herself. She wrote a brief message on the back of each one, then went through the streets, entered every hotel, cinema and disco to display her photo in the entrance hall. Then, being short of money, she returned home.

One morning her daughter entered the hall of a hotel, only a shadow of her former self, having aged through a life of debauchery. Her eyes met her mother's photo. She picked it up, gazed at it for a long time, then turned it round. She read the message: "Never mind what you have become or what you have done. Please come back home!"

Dear young reader, perhaps you are destroying your life. You may have permanent scars. But all is not lost! Our living God is calling you today: "I love you as you are. I gave my Son to be judged in your place. I'm waiting for you. Come to me, I shall not turn you away."

Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 28:1-15 · Revelation 14:1-8

UNCOVERING EVIL

The presence of the supernatural power of God in a church can take that church beyond limits.
It can also uproot the presence of evil in the midst of Gods children. In Acts 5, a couple were uprooted through this. If we are going to sanitise the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Just as we need Him to heal, save...More

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; ...More

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)

In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, but has manifested in its own due season His word.
(Titus 1:2-3)

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)
I can lie. Titus could too, and so could the Cretans. But God can not lie. I can deceive. But...More
