God’s final word

I was sought by those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. I
said, Here I am.

Isaiah 65: 1.

God's final word
Because God no longer speaks, many people believe that He will never speak again. That is, however, a rash conclusion, for He calls Himself the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. He will have a personal word for each one of us, a final word! But it will not be the same word for all. There are two groups of people:

Those who believe in God. They did not seek Him from their own motives. Yet their attention was drawn to Him, and they found Him. They subjected themselves to His authority and confessed their sins before Him. He forgave them everything. God's final word for such persons is: grace.
Those in the other group do not believe in God. They have arranged to live their life according to their own ideas and refuse to obey Him. Since they are not prepared to be subject to God, they presume themselves to be above Him. Outwardly they may be regarded as decent people, but in their lives there is much that God designates as sin. For these people God's final word is: judgment.

When you read the Bible, take note of the following fact: when God speaks of punishment or judgment, He always indicates that there is salvation available. He is a Saviour-God and wishes to save you, because He loves you. Therefore He appeals to you today: "Here I am!"

Through Jesus Christ He invites you to "Seek me and live."
