Whoever wants to buy something special and valuable will...

God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son.
John 3: 16.

Whoever wants to buy something special and valuable will consider how much the desired object is worth to him. If necessary, he will forego other things so as to be able to afford the purchase.

When we consider what God was prepared to do in order to save people from their sins and eternal condemnation, we soon reach the limit of our powers of imagination. That God should love the world might be conceivable, if this world consisted of persons who loved and honoured Him. However, we know that the opposite is true.

The Lord Jesus Christ became Man in order to settle the pressing matter of sin. And it was our sins that gave God the opportunity to show us just how great His love is. He sent His Son to earth so that He might sacrifice His life as the ransom for many.

The text of this most important verse in the Bible continues: "that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Whoever would like to experience God's great love and obtain all the blessing that He offers us in Jesus Christ must believe on the Son of God and His atoning work at the cross.

"God demonstrates his own love toward us, .

But they forget that...More
