Hands that were pierced
All four gospels report on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but they give different details. It is in John's gospel alone that we find any mention of the doubting disciple Thomas and the Lord Jesus' pierced hands.

Thomas was not present when the risen Lord first appeared in the midst of the disciples. Dubiously he said, "Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, I will not believe." Eight days later Jesus again appeared in the circle of His disciples; this time Thomas was there. He saw his Lord's pierced hands and was convinced that He had risen from among the dead.
