The Son of God became Man

Christ Jesus made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant.
Philippians 2: 5.7.

The Son of God became Man
When we begin to consider who the Son of God is, we realise more and more clearly how far He humbled Himself at His incarnation.

He is the eternal Son, who is in the Father's bosom, enjoying His love in all eternity. When He became a Man, He entered a sinful world at enmity with God. Step by step He was confronted with the misery that sin had caused. Every day He experienced the hatred of so many who surrounded Him. What a contrast that was to the loving atmosphere that He had known in the Father's house!

Jesus Christ is the Creator of heaven and earth (cf. ). In His omnipotence He summoned all things into being through His command, whether they are visible or invisible. Then, in the fullness of time, the Son of God entered His own creation. He truly became the one sinless human being, conceived by God the Holy Spirit and born of a woman.

In heaven the Son of God gave commands to the angels with divine authority. He directed the destinies of people on earth and ruled over the nations. But at His incarnation He humbly relinquished His rightful powers to become a servant. Here on earth He ministered and obeyed.

We can only wonder at His readiness to stoop so low and become a Man, although He at no time ceased to be God.

When He in flesh the desert trod
He loved to do Thy will;
His bosom glowed as Son of God
Thy pleasure to fulfil.

UNCOVERING EVIL

The presence of the supernatural power of God in a church can take that church beyond limits.
It can also uproot the presence of evil in the midst of Gods children. In Acts 5, a couple were uprooted through this. If we are going to sanitise the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Just as we need Him to heal, save...More
