He can save even me!

Look to me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
Isaiah 45: 22.

He can save even me!
The missionary doctor, Dr. J. W. Lindsay, gave this report from Paraguay:

"I once attended a sick Indian. When I entered, he said, "Otuna die yeroviaya", that means, "There is the one I can trust: he will save me." In this way I learned how the word "Saviour" can best be translated in the tribal language.

The sick man sensed that he could do nothing to help him get better. He could not even get up from his bed. But he had heard what the missionary had done for others. And he trusted that he would get from him the medicine that would cure him."

This is precisely the situation with the salvation of the soul. When someone acknowledges and regrets his sins, he possibly attempts first to improve himself and to undo those sins. Neither of these means will succeed. We need to admit our helplessness and turn to the Lord Jesus, the Saviour whom God sent. He has saved so many! We read of very many examples in the New Testament. And He can and will help us today.

It is quite possible that the missionary's endeavours to cure the Indian proved vain, even if he had trusted the medicine prescribed. With Jesus, however, there is no failure and no disappointment. He can help every sinner who comes to Him. He will not turn away anyone seeking His help. Jesus Christ calls out: .

Today‘s reading: Ezekiel 1: 22 - 2: 10 · Psalms 115: 1 - 8

The Psalm writes, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hand' (vv. 14-15 NKJV). As you walk with God you'll find that you spend more time waiting than you do receiving. And when you receive what you're waiting for, then...More

A Statement Of Purpose To Live By

Always give yourselves fully.' 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV

Next time you pass a McDonald's, think about this statement from the one of the founders: Ray Kroc. Press on! Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent....More
