God hears and responds

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened.
Matthew 7: 7.8.

God hears and responds
Christianity does not consist simply in believing in God's existence, it is living out a personal relationship with Him. I once had this encounter of which Christians speak, and I shall remember it all my life. That evening, alone in my room, I asked God to reveal Himself to me. I was gradually filled with indescribable and incomprehensible peace and joy. Whereas formerly I used to force myself to pray to God for a few moments, and then with difficulty, I felt motivated to speak to God as to a close friend. It was truly refreshing. Some Bible texts that I had considered uninteresting were suddenly seen in another light. They were rich in sense and pertinent for my life. The Bible hadn't changed, but my heart had been touched by the Spirit. If God could grant such unmerited grace to someone whose nature was anxious, proud and suspicious like mine, He can do so for you, too, so long as you speak to Him humbly, sincerely and confidently. Ask God, and He will answer you!

Jesus came to reconcile us with our heavenly Father and bring us into His presence. He was God manifested on earth. Having died and been resurrected, the Lord was raised to heaven as the perfect Man and sat down on the right hand of God . As He had promised His disciples, He sent the Holy Spirit to all who put their trust in Him, so that God can at last fill the vacuum in their souls.

Today‘s reading: Ezekiel 24: 15 - 25: 17 · Psalms 127: 1 - 5

One outstanding need that divine midwives must satisfy is to have their names written in the Book of Life. This is the most important book in the universe. Given modern trends and need for details, most institutions have various books in which records are kept and can be retrieved in years to come. Every...More
