He (Christ) died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for him who died for them and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5: 15.

2. Two aspects of life
Our life consists of numerous daily tasks and leisure activities. According to the varying conditions of our life, our abilities and our tastes, everyone's life evolves differently. However, the Bible shows clearly that there are basically only two ways to live.

The first way consists in living for oneself, as one wishes. This is really egotism: regarding life as one's personal possession, something to be disposed of at one's will without interference from outside. But let us consider whether such an attitude has ever fulfilled one's hopes.

God invites us to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and then live for Him. Instead of our own selfish interests, we have another objective: living for another - for the Person I belong to, whom I love and whose will I therefore want to do.

Jesus Christ loved me so much that He died for me to save me. He therefore has a claim on my affection. So I am now no longer led by egoistic motives but by His good, wise will. This is not hard subservience but the joyful response of my heart to His love. Such a life alone is one of fulfilment and happiness.

This can be seen in the apostle Paul, as in no other person, for he said, .
