From Buddhism to Christ (2)

Give me your heart.

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Proverbs 23:26; 2 Corinthians 5:17.

From Buddhism to Christ (2)
Sarah's report continued: "From that day on I regularly attended those meetings of young Christians. I wanted to learn more of this God, who seemed to know me so well. I was astonished to discover that this God takes the first step towards the one suffering, whereas in Buddhism the people have to go to Buddha. Then I also recognised that Jesus died for me on the cross to save me from my sins.

I surrendered my heart to this Saviour and Lord and learned that a new life full of joy began, a life in the light. I had been rescued from the deepest pit and freed through faith in Jesus Christ, my Saviour.

Later other members of my family also found faith in Jesus. I became aware that God's grace had been accompanying me all along the way and would be with us in the future.

After my conversion I also experienced some difficult, discouraging times. But I learned to trust God more and more and to lay hold on His grace and help in all situations.

"Whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith" (1 John 5:4).

I thank the Lord for guiding me hitherto. My future lies in His hands. He drew me to Himself; so what should I fear?"

Today's reading: Esther 8:15-9:10 · Proverbs 21:11-20
