Today's reading: Isaiah ch. 58

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
Isaiah 59:14-15

God notices.
People who have a high position in politics or business are in the limelight of the public. Their entire life is under scrutiny, every detail is scooped up by the media. If some hitherto concealed scandal is exposed, it is generally the end of their high position: they are forced to resign. So many a one whose life also has its dark side is glad to be a normal citizen. He is relieved that the public is not interested in him; certain things can happily remain concealed.
Now even if we can keep certain things from our fellowmen, God is aware of them. "Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him? says the LORD (Jeremiah 23:24)". "There is no creature hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of him to whom we must give account" (Hebrews 4:13).
God, who sees everything, will one day bring all to the light. When He sits in judgment, our entire life will be revealed. He will "bring to light the hidden things of darkness" (1 Corinthians 4:5). And all that He judges to be evil will bring punishment. However, there is a way of escape from this judgment: God pardons everyone who today, in this age of grace, reveals and confesses his sinful life and accepts the work of redemption accomplished by Jesus Christ.

CAN SATAN RIGHTLY ACCUSE YOU?

Besides discouragement, another weapon Satan uses often against believers is their weaknesses. He simply studies an individual for a period of time and not long after, he identifies the fellow's weakness and capitalizes on it. Take for instance Peter. Satan discovered that Peter is a cowardly person-lacking in...More

SPIRITUAL WARFARE I

When we are told to put on the whole armour of God, one thing becomes clear instantly. This is the fact that there is a God. We cannot be talking of the armour of God if there is no God. Anyone who thinks that there is no God is a fool (Psalm 14:1). You have to pray that God would reveal Himself to you. The...More

SATAN INTIMIDATES

When Goliath came to the battlefield, he took the form of a big problem but he later became a big opportunity. He came as a mighty obstacle but turned into a mighty door of opportunity when God stepped in. Every giant who stands in your way this season shall become a door to your breakthrough in Jesus' Name.
