Deciding the best way (2)

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that you may live.
Deuteronomy 30:19.

Deciding the best way (2)
Nila had to make the decision whether to choose the broad or the narrow way. He would either simply continue living as before or he would have to accept Christ as His Saviour and Lord. If he decided on the discipleship of Christ, then he had various things to put in order, above all with the lord of the manor whom he had frequently deceived. A struggle raged in his heart.

Nila harnessed his best reindeer and set off. The decision would be made at the junction of the main road that led from the coast to the village with the church. From there the distance to the brandy merchant was about as far as to the lord of the manor at the coast. A light jerk on the reins would show the reindeer the direction to take.

The closer they came to the road, the more uncertain Nila felt as to what decision to make. He closed his eyes. They reached the junction. Without hesitating, the reindeer chose the road to the coast, to the lord of the manor. God had directed the animal's steps.

It was also God who heard Nila's short prayers and gave him the courage to confess his wrongdoing to the lord of the manor. The latter's reaction was unexpectedly friendly. He forgave Nila everything and even refused to take compensation.

That day not only Nila's affair with the lord of the manor was put right, but also the matter with God. When he prayed to God, confessing his guilt, he received full forgiveness and peace. He had experienced how "the goodness of God leads to repentance" (Romans 2:4).

OF KEYS AND DOORS

Every apartment or compartment with a lock has its key. It takes a key to open the gate of a house and several keys to enter the house its rooms. If you have fridge, car or wardrobe, you will equally have their keys. From the foregoing therefore, it is apparent that several good things with value have their...More

APPLY THE KEY

Every blessing worth its salt requires a key without which the seeker cannot access it. While some people have never experienced open doors, others once did, but the doors hitherto opened to them have been shut. In
