Believe in your vision

‘Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,’ Habakkuk 2:2 NKJV

God has a plan for your life. In Scripture, it’s sometimes referred to as a ‘vision’. It works like a compass that will always point you in the right direction and an anchor that will hold you steady in life’s storms. Why did God say, ‘…Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, …’? (Habakkuk 2:2 NKJV) Because sometimes, we bury our vision deep in our hearts to protect ourselves from the criticism of others. Fear causes us to set our vision out of sight so that we don’t have to think about it. Sometimes we give up on our vision because it hurts too much and costs too much to hold on to it. What should you do?

First, you must have a vision that’s clear and compelling.

Second, you must keep your vision before you at all times. After experiencing painful rejection by his family and false accusations by his boss’s wife resulting in thirteen years of wrongful imprisonment, the Bible says, ‘And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed …’ (Genesis 42:9 KJV).

Third, you must remember that God has scheduled a time for your dream to be fulfilled: ‘For the vision is yet for an appointed time; … Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, …’ (Habakkuk 2:3 NKJV). You must find a balance between contentment and ambition. Paul writes, ‘… I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content’ (Philippians 4:11 NKJV). Paul never allowed himself to be upset with where he was at the moment; he knew that God was with him at all times, and he was always looking forward to where God would take him. So, enjoy this day, knowing that God has your future securely planned.

The only true attitude for the Christian is that of dependence...

I am come from heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him that has sent Me.
(John 6:38)

The only true attitude for the Christian is that of dependence. The moment we get off the ground of dependence on God we are sure to come to grief. This is true both individually...More

Are You Feeling Insecure? (3)

The Lordsaid to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth." '
Jeremiah 1:9 NIV

The people God calls usually start out feeling ill-equipped and insecure. Indeed, if you jumped and said, No problem, Lord, I can handle that,' He wouldn't call you at all. You say, but I've made so many...More

CO-PILOT USED SKY DEVIL' LOG IN

Be reminded that evidence from the cockpit voice recorder suggests that Mr. Andreas Lubitz, 27, the killer co-pilot of GERMAN WINGS FLIGHT 9525 locked the cock pit door when Capt Patrick Sondenheimer, 34, also of Dusseldorf city, left for a toilet break and used controls to override the entry code, crashing the plane...More
