Ex-president claiming thousands in taxpayers cash as Andrew Giuliani launches political bid



Donald Trump has reportedly claimed thousands of dollars in American taxpayers' cash since leaving office in the form of pension payments.

The former president was said to have taken $65,600 since exiting the White House in January, despite making much political capital out of the donation of his presidential salary during his four years as commander-in-chief.

Elsewhere, Andrew Giuliani, the son of Rudy Giuliani, announced on Tuesday that he would run for New York governor in 2022.

The younger Giuliani, 35, who was himself a former Trump White House official, told the New York Post the election battle against incumbent governor Andrew Cuomo would be "one of the epic showdowns in the state's history".
