A 65-year-old hunter miraculously survived 20 days lost in the Sierra National Forest by using his broken-down truck as shelter and relying on his faith.

'God Still Does Miracles' Lost Hunter Found after 20 Days in California Wilderness

A Hunter who recently went missing for 20 days after losing himself in the woods of California has been found and is in the hospital.

Ron Dailey, a 65-year-old hunter, was missing for 20 days in the Sierra National Forest after his vehicle broke down during a one-day hunting trip on October 13, when climbing a mountain with an elevation of 10,000 feet, The Daily Beast reported.

He managed to use his truck as shelter and had food for about two weeks before proceeding to leave and go downhill.

"You either try to walk out or you're going to sit here and die," Dailey told ABC 7 News.

He shared how it was a struggle for him being lost in the woods, including falling a couple of times going downhill and losing his phone. As a person of faith, Dailey prayed continually for the Lord’s help.

"I can't hardly walk anymore, Lord, you gotta help me Father God," Dailey said. "I raised my head up, there was a car with headlights on and I go 'Oh God, thank you Lord.'"

Following 20 days since first getting lost, Dailey was found by other hunters last Saturday and was taken to a hospital, CBN News reported.

His wife, Glenda, posted an update on Facebook following the news that her husband was found.

“I want to thank everyone for all the support and love that we received while we patiently waited for Ron. God has answered the prayers of so many of us. He is going to be shocked when I show him all of the people who searched for him. He is resting and will share what happened very soon. The hospital staff are pumping him with fluids, and his color is coming back. To the men who went down that road and found him, I am eternally grateful to you; I cannot wait to meet you,” she wrote.

She went on to thank multiple people for their support before attributing praise to God.

“God still does miracles, and we have just been shown one,” Glenda concluded.
