No time
In 1979, a Christian was travelling by plane to Chicago. Next to him sat a businessman who had passed the age of 50. They got into conversation. First, they talked about current affairs. Then they got onto talking about the Christian faith.

The fellow traveller explained: “I believe that religion can be useful. When I was young, I went to Bible classes every Sunday.”

Then the Christian asked him, “Can you say today that you are born again and possess life from God?” After some hesitation, the man replied, “I don’t know. You see, I am very busy. My work doesn’t allow me to take the time to ask such questions.”

“Do you really think that your professional activity is more important than the question of eternal life and your relationship with God?”

“Oh, life is a hard struggle,” replied the fellow traveller. “But I intend to retire in a few years. Then I want to get my life right with God. Now I have absolutely no time to do that.”

After landing, they parted. He took the flight to Los Angeles. That same evening, the news reported that this plane had crashed because of engine trouble. None of the 271 passengers had survived.
