Jesus the Saviour

Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.
Acts 8:35

Jesus the Saviour
The good news from the Bible that God proclaims to people worldwide revolves around the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s about Him as the Saviour of the world.

He is the eternal Son of God, who became man 2,000 years ago and lived in the land of Israel. After His birth, the angels declared to the shepherds in the field: “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).

At about the age of 30, Christ began to serve people. He told them about God’s grace which seeks to save lost sinners. He confirmed this message with gracious miracles like healing the sick, delivering the possessed and raising the dead.

However, the vast majority of people rejected the Saviour and crucified Him. Then something miraculous happened: He gave His life as a ransom for many. He died on the cross so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

On the third day after His crucifixion, the Lord Jesus rose from the dead. He now lives in heaven and wants to be your Saviour, too. You need Him because you have sinned against God and are heading towards His judgment.

Therefore, take refuge in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in Him! He died for you to save you from divine punishment and give you eternal life in a joyful relationship with God.

Today’s reading: 2 Chronicles 2:1-9 · 1 Timothy 6:11-21

However, there was only one person, spiritually speaking, who was a true Nazarite, and that was our Lord Jesus. He shows us that it is not a negative thing to be separated from the world but rather a...More

Adam found an excuse:

Jeremiah 17:9

In a discussion on the above text with some young people, the question was asked: how are we to understand the word "deceitful" here? After some consideration they reached this conclusion: deceitful means that the heart finds an excuse for everything. This seems a very apt...More
