God answers prayer indeed

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Luke 11:9.10

God answers prayer indeed
The Italian evangelist, Erino Dapozzo, one day met a girl who told him in despair, "I have lost my purse, and we are very poor. My father has already beaten me; so I have come back to look for it once again"

"Have you asked God for help?" asked Dapozzo. "Oh yes, but nothing has changed," she said as she feverishly searched all over the ground.

A lively discussion followed. Jeanette insisted that her prayer had proved useless. Dapozzo maintained the opposite point of view.

"You can see that I cannot find my money," the girl explained. Thereupon Dapozzo took a

bank note out of his pocket and handed it to her. "You think that God hasn't answered,

because you still haven't found your purse. But He is answering in a way that is different

from what you hoped. He has sent me to you."

We often have our own conception as to how God should answer us. And if it turns out otherwise, we easily conclude that God hasn't answered us. In fact, God's answer often goes much further. That girl, for example, met someone who knew the God of love.

Experiences from our daily life, like a telephone call or an encounter may be God's answer to our prayer. So let us open our eyes and our hearts to recognize and accept God's answer!

YOU CAN BE HIS WITNESS

As a bona fide member of the Kingdom of God, you must be a proof of His power to save. Matthew 1:21 says Jesus shall save His people from sin.

BEFORE YOU GET ANGRY

Yesterday we learnt it is not right for us to get angry with God or to take offence against Him, even if we experience the deferment of our hopes. The example of John the Baptist who earlier acknowledged Jesus as the Messiah, but later doubted Him because of his painful experience of incarceration is a warning...More

...when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem...
Luke 2:45

We might as well face it, strife has even infiltrated our church life. It is true enough that the Church is now the Church militant. But, as such, its warfare ought to be that of dedication to revealed truth and divine...More
