Saying yes or no to God
By crucifying Jesus, men showed the wickedness in their hearts, but at the same time God manifested His love toward us in passing the judgment that we deserved on His Son.

Because Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for us, God forgives us and grants us eternal life. It is a gift that those who believe in Him accept joyfully.

But human beings are capable of and responsible for saying yes or no to God. If anyone wilfully refuses the salvation offered him, he is lost without hope. There is salvation in none other than Jesus Christ .

It seems unthinkable that anyone in his right mind could reject this free offer of God's. There are, however, large numbers of those who are uninterested or refuse it outright. Let us be aware that refusing it not only deprives us of the most precious of all gifts, but is an affront to the Giver.

Jesus alone can rescue someone from the terrible consequences of his wrongdoings. Not recognising oneself as a guilty sinner and refusing the salvation that God offers means facing eternal torment and taking the responsibility for it.

Today there is still time to say yes to God. Then do not forget to say thank you!
