A certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

"Sir, as you are an evangelist, tell me how to find inner peace."

"Jesus Christ alone can grant it to you."

"I have been seeking it for ten years, and I doubt it more and more."

"Your situation is not normal, for Jesus says, ʻPeace I leave with you, my peace I give to youʼ (John 14:27). You don't seem to have found it."

"I have gone to listen to the most famous American preachers, I have followed the best evangelists, I have read countless books, and always been deceived."

"Forget all that! Go back home and shut the door behind you. You don't need either specialists nor meetings nor any other book but the Bible. You need a personal encounter with the Son of God. Think of the person who touched His garment. Like her, force a way through the crowd and go to Jesus Himself. You will be brought in contact with the source of light and love. You must cast yourself at His feet, like that woman, having confidence in His grace and hearing for yourself that wonderful saying by the Saviour: ʻDaughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your afflictionʼ (Mark 5:34). You will find rest and peace."

The next day the evangelist could see on the face of that woman that she had met the Saviour and found peace in Him.
