I can’t take anymore!

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

I can’t take anymore!
Have you ever reached a point where you felt, “I can’t take anymore!”? That’s understandable. You’re already facing difficulties, and new ones keep coming. You just don’t see a way out. It surpasses your outer and inner strength. How will you go on?

Perhaps some Bible passages will help you overcome your despondency and emerge from your low condition:

o Let go of the thought that the current distress must be alleviated immediately. In your seemingly hopeless situation, you will “obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” at the “throne of grace” (Hebrews 4:16).

o Hold on to the fact that everything God does is perfect and right. He doesn’t make mistakes. “He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He” (Deuteronomy 32:4).

o Whether you understand God’s ways or not, rebellion won’t get you any further. Only when you consciously say yes to His ways will you find peace. Remember what God said: “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9).

o God certainly does not take pleasure in hurting you. He deals with you in wisdom and love: “For He does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men” (Lamentations 3:33).

o Sometimes God uses difficulties in the lives of His children to draw them closer to Himself: “If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons ... for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness” (Hebrews 12:7, 10).

Today’s reading: Jeremiah 22:1-12 · Luke 24:28-43

Jehovah appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre. And he sat at the tent-door in the heat of the day. And he lifted up his eyes and saw, and behold, three men standing near him.

FASTING IS NECESSARY

To relate with the Holy Spirit, you must be holy. You must also exercise a living faith, pray and fast. Some people will tell you that because had finished the work of salvation, there is no need to fast. To them, fasting is completely needless and is some form of self-inflicted punishment. But they forget that...More

REWARD FOR LABOUR

Jacob sojourned with Laban and laboured for him for several years. At first, his host was cheating him at every opportunity, and the years of his hard labour were almost in vain. Down the line, God had to intervene to enable Jacob eat the fruit of his labour. For a reader of this devotional, in every area that you...More

HOW PROPHETIC ARE YOUR NAMES?

The name you bear is very important because it serves as your identity and your future may be connected to it. The name a person bears is sometimes indicative of the experiences he or she will encounter in life. Take for instance Moses: this name means "drawn out of water"

Bible in one year:
