The compassion of Jesus

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation.

His compassions fail not. They are new every morning.

2 Corinthians 1: 3.4; Lamentations 3: 22.23.

Frederick Booth-Tucker (1853 - 1929) was a member of the Salvation Army, first in India, then in America and finally in Great Britain. His first wife died during an epidemic of cholera. (John 6:38)

The only true attitude for the Christian is that of dependence. The moment we get off the ground of dependence on God we are sure to come to grief. This is true both individually...More

Are You Feeling Insecure? (3)

The Lordsaid to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth." '
Jeremiah 1:9 NIV

The people God calls usually start out feeling ill-equipped and insecure. Indeed, if you jumped and said, No problem, Lord, I can handle that,' He wouldn't call you at all. You say, but I've made so many...More
