Invitation to a wedding (6)

He (the king) said to him, Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 22:12-14.

Invitation to a wedding (6)
All were dressed according to the royal provision, except one who stood there, wearing his own clothes. The king spoke to him, but he failed to respond. He was cast "into outer darkness". The wedding reception finally takes place endlessly. That man had been so close, but was now a reject.

Here the question when a Christian's confession is assessed by God is not stated, but it is clear that He does so. Whoever decides his own way to heaven will have no opportunity in eternity to reply or justify himself. Before God's judgment throne he will be unable to answer and must remain silent (cf Job 9:3).

God will judge each individual personally, just as the king in the parable spoke to the man, as if he were the only guest. Whoever is then condemned will experience a final, horrific end without any hope. "Weeping and gnashing of teeth" will be the eternal consequence for all who refuse God's invitation.

Many were called, but few came. Many claim to be Christians with "a name that they are alive, but are dead" (Revelation 3:1). Few have accepted the "garment of salvation" that God has prepared for us through the Person and death of His Son, Jesus Christ. Are you wearing it? It is there for you to take!

The reply he got fascinated him and straightaway, he set for himself the goal of defeating the giant. To David, nothing could stop him from being...More

Know When To Say Nothing

The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue.' Isaiah 50:4 NIV

Isaiah writes: The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.'

Let's face it;...More
